- Date Published: April 21, 2020 To celebrate the 30th anniversary of CAAE’s founding in 1989, the Association’s Winter Institute held in Scottsdale, AZ, in February 2020 featured three special panel discussions moderated by founding member Steve Grafton, President & CEO of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan. The first panel featured fellow founding member Doug Dibbert, President of the University of North Carolina General Alumni Association, and Amy Button Renz, President and CEO of Kansas State Alumni Association, member since 1994, who together, took a look back at the founding of CAAE. Additional recollections were gathered in a post-Institute telephone interview with CAAE founding President Robert G. (Bob) Forman, Steve Grafton’s predecessor at the University of Michigan Alumni Association.

- Date Published: April 20, 2020 After 40 years of dedicated service to higher education, Dr. Lee Patouillet announced his retirement from the University of Tennessee, in February 2020. At the CAAE Winter Institute in Arizona, Lee shared some valuable professional and life lessons with his colleagues and friends in attendance, and was given a rousing standing ovation for his life’s work.
