To get to know one another better, the CAAE Communications Committee has formulated a Q&A-style interview to spotlight members. We’re pleased to present this month’s spotlight of new member, Tricia Riveire Stumpf (Indiana), compilation courtesy of Raphe Beck (Oregon).
Name: Tricia Riveire Stumpf
Institution: Indiana University Alumni Association
Q: Are you new to alumni relations, new to your institution, neither, or both?
A: Neither! Been in alumni relations for 16 years and at IUAA for 13.
Q: Best perk of the job so far?
A: I have a much bigger office with huge windows and a patio!
Q: Biggest challenge so far?
A: All of the change around us, between institutional leadership changes, financial questions and change, changes that are coming from our strategic plan, hybrid work, and just the needs and expectations of all of our constituents from school and campus partners to alumni today.
Q: If you needed to, could you sing your school’s fight song and/or alma mater?
A: Yes, both! I feel like I’m singing one or both weekly right now.
Q: What would it surprise people to know about you?
A: Hard question. That I was prom queen in high school?
Q: Who would be your dream dinner guests?
A: A rockstar list of awesome women: Madeline Albright, Michelle Obama, Brene Brown, Glennon Doyle and Abby Wambach, Tina Fey, Sheryl Sandberg, Condoleezza Rice …it would be hard to narrow down the list. I’d need a big room!
Q: When I’m not on the job, you’ll find me ...
A: With my family, at Orangetheory Fitness, or reading a book.
