Q: Are you new to alumni relations, new to your institution, neither, or both?
A: I’ve been active with the alumni association for many years as a volunteer. Being the owner of an advertising agency for many years, I became Associate Vice President of Alumni Affairs four and half months ago.
Q: Best perk of the job so far:
A: Definitely being with alums who love the Tide. And awarding alumni scholarships to deserving students allowing them to attend UA.
Q: Biggest challenge so far:
A: Adjusting to life in the public sector after owning my own company most of my career.
Q: If you needed to, could you sing your school’s fight song and/or alma mater?
A: Fight song for sure. And first verse of the alma mater.
Q: What would it surprise people to know about you?
A: I don’t have many surprises.
Q: Who would be your dream dinner guests?
A: Jesus, Mother Teresa, Warren Buffet, Bear Bryant, Thomas Jefferson, Jimmy Carter, George Bush.
Q: When I’m not on the job, you’ll find me…:
A: Attending my grandkid’s sporting events or traveling.
